Steve Winfield, Director, Partner Strategy and Business Development for the Education Product Group with Microsoft, has traveled the world visiting schools and partners, as well as speaking to groups from 10 to 10,000 in size. These travels have only served to further broaden his already diverse background of experiences. Previously, Steve spent almost a full decade working with teenagers in the public school system in Texas as a teacher and school administrator, has a Masters degree in Education, is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and has passed the Certified Information System Security Professional security exam. In addition, he has been involved with technology in education, taught technical courses, consulted independently, worked on Microsoft’s Premier Platform After-Hours Support team, helped form a specialized national team (Microsoft’s Delta Force) working to develop both horizontal and vertical strategies and solutions, and created an elite team of technology strategists solely focused on helping System Builders succeed from a technology perspective. Now Steve is tasked with helping Microsoft’s world-wide partner ecosystem flourish in the Education marketplace through the creation of an Education partner community.
Steve currently lives in Sammamish, Washington, with his lovely wife of 15 years (Kelley), two children ages 12 and 8 (Chad and Emma), and two Italian Greyhounds (Dante and Keats).
